Article Marketing - Now That I Have Written My Articles, How Do I Best Promote Them?

Q: After I have written my articles, how do I best promote them?

A: First of all, congratulations on getting started and writing your articles. Now, I can answer your question in two words - article directories.

For years I had written a weekly relationship column for the local newspaper that became syndicated all over the world. I still write that column and am privileged to reach over 10 million a week with the column.

Many of the newspapers ran it in the online version as well. And I got requests from different web sites to run the column. So every now and then my column would show up on the internet.

It was not until spring of 2005 that someone told me about the article directories, and my life changed.

Article directories exist to publish your article on their directory, where anyone with a web site, blog or newsletter can access your information. Your article is then used as content for them and they have to use your article in full, complete with links back to you in your resource box.

It's free, it works, you reach people you never could have reached on your own, and it drives tons of traffic, prospects, and customers back to your own web site or blog.

The biggest article directory is EzineArticles.com. Begin by submitting to them and then submit to the next most popular ones. Follow this by submitting to specific article directories in your niche.

If you just do those three things, you will have gotten a huge start in promoting your articles.
