Getting Traffic to Your Squeeze Page- Part 3, Articles and What Happens Next?

I have written articles about writing articles in the past, but not about what you do with them, once they're written. OK, so let's go into that now...

After you've finished your article, you need to re-write it, paragraph by paragraph. So, you'll look at paragraph one in article one and think about what it says. Write a paragraph that means the same thing with different words. Here's an example:

Why do people say that list building is the most important thing an Internet Marketer needs to do? Well, without a list, there's not much money to be made. You have to train your list to realize that you're someone who can be trusted to recommend quality products to them, products that work and that you've tried yourself. When they know that, they'll be more likely to buy things from you.
OK, now, let's rewrite that whole paragraph:

If you don't have a list, you won't succeed in Internet Marketing. That's it. You need to build a group of people who like your messages. They have to trust you. And, they have to know that you've already tried whatever you want to sell them and think it's great!
Doesn't the second paragraph say pretty much the same thing as the first? The words are different, but the concept is the same: Internet marketers won't succeed without building trust with a list. Now, take the next paragraph and do the same thing. Rewrite it completely. Then, move to the third paragraph and so on. If you use vertical tiling of your windows, you'll be able to look at all three versions at the same time. Then, when you've finished, do it again. Rewrite the whole article again.

Why is that important?

Easy. Search engines hate duplicate or "dupe" content. Don't put the same article on your site or blog that you distribute. It's just tons of duplicate content flooding the Web. Search engines want the best search possible for their clients. If they put up a whole page of one article, people won't like it. So, only one site gets credit for each article, and it won't necessarily be you. You want the link in your resource box to be pointing back to your list building page, giving it help with page rank, all the time.

Rewriting your article twice is a good way to get around the dupe content issue. Put one article version on your blog or website, give one version to Ezine Articles or another high-traffic site and let the third version go to a distribution site, like iSnare. That way, you'll be sure to get the maximum benefit from writing and rewriting just one article.

Any article you have in distribution, though the search engines may not count it, will still provide free traffic to your list building page. That's why it's important to do it this way. You'll get credit for the article on your site. Credit for a link back from the high-traffic article directory, and maybe one back from the distributed article or more. It takes a bit for the search engines to filter out the duplicate stuff. Plus, you can turn your three articles into many, many more by mixing paragraphs from the three versions.

However, there will be a threshold. You can only mix and match so much. One way to find your dupe content ratio is by going to DupeCop.com. Be sure that any article you use for distribution is at least 35% different from other articles you've submitted, and you'll have more links pointing back to your site.

The whole idea is to get maximum mileage out of your idea. Some people have trouble coming up with them, and rewriting is a good way to have new material with the same idea. It's much easier than coming up with a whole new idea and starting all over again. Make your articles as useful as they can possibly be.

In our next article in this series, we'll discuss podcasting. Stay tuned!

Improved Search Engine Ranking With Modernization of Marketing Strategies

Maneuvering the business process and ensuring the right proportions of profit earning are the fundamentals of all types of the business, whether it is small business or the large corporate. Internet marketing is no exception. Online businesses employ a number of techniques and strategies to increase the positioning of the website in the improve Search Engine rank.

Search Engine Optimization is also referred as SEO is the process of achieving the best organic ranking with the help of some specified tools in the Search Engine result pages like Google, Yahoo, MSN, AltaVista and many more search engines and thus to enhance the web traffic for a website. Search Engine is rather a complex and on going process which normally takes bit time to show off its result of driving the traffic for the website.

As there are enormous numbers of techniques to optimizing the website, web masters use only the uphold techniques for the Search Engine Optimization Management. One of the primary things that business profession takes into account to summarize the tools for achieving the great search engine listing is the keyword which the web spiders use for extracting the related information. Many search engines index a page based on key word phrases and oftentimes add value if the key word appears within a certain concentration range. The caveat here is that many search engines will lower the web page ranking if the keyword appears too many times since this is alleged as an attempt to trick the search engine. Keyword search engine optimization uses not only keyword concentration but also keyword placement. Many search engines place higher emphasis on key word phrases that are placed in web page titles and HTML header tags.

Another method of SEO is to increase the number of links to the website being optimized. Most Internet Marketing companies design their algorithms with the supposition that a page that is highly allied to is more likely to offer quality content then one that has no links to it. Many web masters had taken advantage of this assumption by using link exchange programs to increase the number of links to their site. For this reason, many search engines now bring down two way links in favor of one way links.

Meta tags are one answer for the higher Search Engine rankings. The page title and the actual content are more important for the search engine ranking than the Meta tags. Visitors are also driven by the organic Directory submission services. People often mistake with the Directory submission and Search Engine Optimization being the same. Directories have the exaggerated part in increasing the ranking in the search engine rankings by sending a huge number of traffic.

There are more ways about internet marketing promotion and advertising than you know. Discover the secrets to Internet marketing for Online Business today.

The Harsh Reality - It's Top 30 or Nothing

If, as a Internet marketer, you expect to survive and be found , you need to learn how to: 1) place your pages in the high-traffic core, and 2) achieve a high ranking in the major search engines. Otherwise, your sites will be like little islands in the sea: remote, inaccessible, and forgotten.

This means you are solely relying on people typing in your URL in the command lines of their browsers, and this only works if your site is well-known. The days of serendipitous surfers and "accidental traffic" stumbling onto your site are over. On this "new" Internet made up of billions of Web pages, site owners must use every tool available to them to attract visitors. And even then, you face stiff competition.

I only consider a ranking to be a listing within the top 30, because studies have shown that must searchers do not keep clicking through past the third page. In fact, most searchers do not even click-through to the second page. Therefore, a #10 ranking is much more valuable than #27, and #64 is pretty much worthless.

Now, many other search engines do display more than 10 results per page. So, in this case, should you be happy if you are within the top 120? No, because most users still don't appear to click below #30, no matter how many listings are on a page.

For example, if a user performs a query in Google for "cheese" and your site is not listed, then no matter how many types of cheese you sell, or how great your cheesy recipes are, that user will not and cannot arrive at your site. For a search engine to deliver a visitor to your site, the visitor must first click on a search result for your site. Often, owners of large sites that have been on the Web for a while will discover that they have a very large number of search engine referrals. This is because they actually have rankings even before they begin optimizing pages. However, many of these "accidental" rankings will most likely be on keywords that are rarely sought by users. This is due to the fact that the most highly queried keywords are also the most competitive. In other words, it is highly unlikely that you would find accidental rankings for "MP3." The difference between "accidental" ranking and SEO is that SEO is the deliberate optimization of search results in the pursuit of traffic.

The whole point of SEO is to increase traffic to a site. But not just traffic. You want qualified users who are seeking content, product or service that your site can provide. Therefore, it is important to remember what a ranking actually is. Many times SEO professionals will be overjoyed with a top 10 ranking that a site has achieved, and the site owner (rightfully) says, "So, what? I still don't have any sales!" A ranking doesn't directly equal traffic, and traffic doesn't directly equal sales.

The Importance of ICRA or Safesurf Tags in an Optimised Webpage

The debate has raged for years as to whether a designated 'safe site' free of adult content will be ranked higher than one without such tags.

We've tested this theory many times over the last two years and have definitely noticed a substantial improvement to ranking for the pages with Child-Safe tags.

On average we noticed anything from two to three page jumps for those with the tags. When we removed them they didn't slump as much, but certainly lost a number of ranking positions.

Our specific focus has been Google and Live.com, both of whom seem to respond similarly to the tags.

As with any guaranteed safe content site, it is important to be careful that you stick to the rules...ie. variable uncontrolled content e.g. chat rooms and forums, no nudity, profanity etc, etc. Although Safety sites will allow you to tag with partial 'adult' content, our experiments did not include sites with any of the above.

For sites that are already on page one under a specific search term, a one to two page position improvement was noticed.

We did not notice any improvement in ranking when using several of the approved bodies tags, so there seems little point in bothering with more than one for each site.

It is normally expected to put the tags on every page of a site, but of course, with an existing large site, this can be rather time consuming. We haven't found any noticeably detrimental effects from only including the tags on the index page. It is certainly something that could be done when time permits, but our strategy has been to start with the index page as quickly as possible and worry about the other pages later on.

Note: The author does not advocate using the tags in a cavalier fashion, (i.e. merely as an SEO tool) out of respect for the bodies involved.

As with all SEO tactics, there will be many who disagree with this as a worthwhile technique, but my point is - what harm can it do?

Provided, of course, that the site does not include adult content such as that mentioned above, there is very little work to do to get the site approved by one of the safety bodies. Webmasters generally self-assert that the content conforms to the standards required.

Just a word of caution, though - occasionally the auto code generators on the ICRA site have not produced clean results when pasted into an xhtml site. It is always best to take a careful look at it and maybe use the W3C Validator service to check for problems.

Of course, the usual combination of good coding, meta information, carefully selected keywords, back-links with good PR and lots of targeted fresh page content are always going to be required.

6 Article Strategies To Energize Your Internet Marketing

One of the best ways to build targeted traffic is to use articles. Because articles are so flexible as to their uses, most savvy internet marketers utilize articles in multiple ways. Here are six ways to use articles.

1. Post to your blog

As it is almost a requirement for successful internet marketers to have blogs now, the first way to use your article is to post it to your blog. Not only does it give your article exposure but it adds fresh content to your blog. The fresher your blog content the better it will rank in the search engines and the more often you will get returning readers.

2. Post to Your Squidoo Page

One of the newer web 2.0 sites that many internet marketers are taking advantage of is Squidoo. It is almost like having another blog but it is more commercial. It is also a very heavily trafficked site. Posting your article here will, again provide your Squidoo lens with new content which will enhance your Squidoo traffic. You can even set up Squidoo to pull articles from your blog so if you post to your blog you will update both your blog and your Squidoo page all at once.

3. Submit To Article Directories

This is the most common use of articles. You submit your article to article directories which post your articles and make them available for anyone to read and use. The more directories you can post to the more links you will generate and the better the search engines will like it. The more uniqe articles you can post the better.

4. Post Your Article On Your Website

You can create another page for your main website and post your article there. If you include a link to the article from your index page, the search engines will find it fast. They will look at the new article as fresh content to the overall website. If you post enough articles, you can set up an article index page with links to each article and one link from the main web page to the article index.

5. Modify the Article Into a Press Release

You can make some small editing changes to your article to make it a little more newsy by adding a what, why, where component. You can then submit the revised article as a press release to PRweb and other online PR sites where they will be picked up by news organizations and reporters. PRs are one of the best ways to create traffic for your sites.

6. Mail the Article to Your Subscriber List

You can make an email out of the article and mail it to your list. You can enhance your relationship with your list by regularly providing them with good useful information that they are looking for. For long articles, you can break them into parts and make multiple emails out of them. You can also just email a link to your blog or website to the page where the article is posted. This helps get your subscribers to your site or blog.

Articles are one of the most useful marketing tools. There are so many ways you can use them. You can use one of the ways listed or you can use any combination of those listed or you can use all of those listed for each article. The more you can use quality articles the better your internet marketing will be.

The Power of Article Marketing

Most people I meet seem to dread writing articles and seem to always complain or have something negative to say when it comes to adding content, writing a post etc. Some are just plain lazy and some don't see it as powerful or successful enough. hey often say that the kind of articles they write don't bring them any real traffic. The reason in most cases is that they don't write often enough and by often enough I mean once a day. Neither do they submit it to enough or at least a few quality article submission sites.

They simply think if they write a few articles a month it would bring a huge surge of traffic lasting for eternity, but unfortunately we don't live in never never land and little boys can't fly...

Writing articles is a great way to generate free traffic and quality backlinks that will somewhere along the line result in definite better rankings and sales. But you have got to work hard at it, doing a lot of it and stay clear of half done work, cause no one wants to read a sales pitch, they expect info not salesmanship. So to benefit your website with traffic and backlinks, write and submit at least one article a day, that's if you really want to make your article marketing a success... Otherwise just don't bother.

How can I write one or more articles a day it's impossible... Oh no it's not!

Keep it simple without lowering the quality of your article. Stick to a certain writing style and you will soon see yourself pumping out 2 - 5 articles a day... Now thats what I am talking about, by using the same structure with all your articles you will never get stuck staring at the screen thinking "uhm...."??

Start each article with a simple product or service intro, accurately describing the product or service you are selling. Follow up your opening intro with the true heart of the article, you know the compelling stuff. Go over to ezine and find 2 or 3 articles around your topic. Use some of their ideas and be sure to put it over in your own words, never ever copy someone else's hard work... It's illegal and foolish.

If you are only starting off with article writing and marketing go for the easier option of writing benefit-laden type articles. Benefit-laden also known as "List type" articles are for instance articles that begin with: 20 Questions to...., or 30 Ways you could... etc. This is one of the easiest types to write and to write a lot of.

Close off your article by bringing everything you said above together. A compelling closing statement that leaves the reader wanting more in which case he or she clicks through to your site... Voila!

Choosing the Right Keywords

Choosing the right keywords can dramatically increase your Web site traffic. How do you know if youve picked the right ones? These three steps will help you make the right decision when it comes to selecting keywords for your site.

1. Think like your user.
2. Do your research.
3. Be specific.

When you start coming up with possible keywords, the first thing you need to do is narrow down what your Web site is about. Lets say Im creating a Web site about my favorite car, the Porsche 356 Speedster. It makes sense that my first keyword phrase would be Porsche 356 Speedster.

But lets think about this from a users perspective. What other words might someone use to find my site? How about sports car, convertible, or collector car?

If your Web site is about a specific industry, avoid using jargon. Instead, choose words that your customers would use to describe your product or service. You have to think like your user.

Next, you want to do some research. Take the keywords youve come up with and run them through a keyword tool, like the one from Yahoo! Search Marketing. There you will see how popular that phrase is as well as possible suggestions for similar words.

If you have Web analytics in place, check your keyword analysis and see what words are already driving traffic to your site. If you dont have Web analytics, get them. They can tell you a lot about your site and your users.

Also, research the words your competitors are using. Type your chosen keyword into Google and view the source on the page to see what other keywords the top ranking pages are using.

Finally, once youve come up with a list of keywords, make sure they are descriptive and specific. While car is a popular keyword, its too broad. I would need to qualify it with the type of car my site is about, like German car. Even then, I would be competing with Volkswagen and Audi.

The more relevant the keyword, the more qualified traffic you will receive. So pick your keywords with care. Its not an exact science. Its a combination of analysis, experimentation and good old common sense. It is important, though, so spend the time and energy it takes to get it right.

SEO Basics

Search engine optimization or SEO can be a very difficult thing to master. SEO is a skill some companies are willing to pay top dollar for. For some individuals the skill is simply a great opportunity to advance. Mastering SEO requires a great understanding of how each search engine lists each website. Some of things it can take into consideration are link popularity, content, keyword ratios, etc. Learning to optimize these aspects of your site can be a daunting task. There are many tools however to help you analyze your website and learning to use each tool and provide high placement on a search engine takes fine tuning of these aspects. Do searches for things like "link popularity tool" or "Keyword ratio analyzer" and you will find website that tailor to SEO.

When you find an internet forum based around SEO or internet marketing reading through the pages of knowledge will help shorten the learning curve. In these forums you can learn what others have had to learn the hard way and ask questions to fill in the blanks.

Next you should type in the keywords you hope to profit from and start analyzing your competition. What are they doing? How many links point to their website? What is their keyword ratio on the keywords you want to capitalize on? What keywords do they use in their meta tag? Try to mimic what they have done to make their website number one in search engines.

As you can see it can lots of work to get your website to the top of the search pages, but there is a reason people get paid so much to get websites to the top of search engines.

Now that you know the basics here is a website that will help speed up your learning curve.

Article Marketing - The Shocking Truth

Do you know the truth about article marketing? Article Marketing is one of the most powerful ways of creating a flow of traffic to your website, but you should know the whole truth.

If you are looking for a shot in your wallet over night then you are going to be disappointed. Article marketing is not designed to create this kind of income.

The major benefit of article marketing is longevity. The articles that you write today will serve you long into the future. In time you will find that the traffic visiting your website this month may have been generated by an article you wrote 3 months, 6 months, or more than a year ago. It is said that the older a fine wine is the better it gets. Article marketing works in much the same way. The longer you have been writing articles the more traffic will generated.

No, article marketing will not cause your bank account to grow by a number of zeros over night. You will see the zeros but they will come over time.

Think of article marketing kind of like a $1 membership site. The first month you get 100 subscribers. I know $100 per month does not sound like much but think of the growth over a six month period. The second month another 250 members join. Then 500 the third month, another 500 the fourth, 750 the fifth, and on the sixth month another 1000 join your membership site. You have grown from a mere $100 the first month to $3100 in the sixth month. This type of site has a cumulative effect. So does Article Marketing.

I know from experience that article marketing can be a bit frustrating in the beginning. Sometimes it seems like you are working so hard and seeing nothing in return. To be honest I hated it and almost quit on more than one occasion. When you are using article marketing as your entire source of advertising there is a virtue that you either must have or must develop and that is patience.

I set a goal for myself by deciding that I wanted 1000 articles published in one years time. Then I divided that number by 260 (52 weeks divided by 5 work days per week) and came up with a total of 4. Therefore I need to write a minimum of 4 articles per day.

Writing is the hardest but most important part. Decide how many articles you need per day and make sure you write them. Be consistent. Be diligent. Be disciplined. Be successful.

2 Simple Hands-Off Techniques To Double Or Even Triple Your Daily List Subscription Rate

The success or failure of your list building business depends upon your ability to generate a sizable quantity of leads everyday to your business. You see, leads do get stale after a while! You'd want a steady flow of fresh leads to keep your income levels up there. Here are 2 simple techniques to explode your subscriber list without any additional effort from the traffic you are generating:

#1: Tell-A Friend Scripts

Tell-a-friend scripts allow your subscribers to tell their friends about your free lead generation offer. What smart marketers do is that they incentivize it by giving added bonuses to their subscribers when they refer a certain number of people, say 3 or 5 people. This allows you to boost your subscriber list without lifting a finger! Do take note though, autoresponder services like Aweber do not allow tell-a-friend scripts to be integrated with their autoresponders. A solution is to use your own hosted php autoresponder.

#2: Giveaway Rights

If you offer a free report as your lead subscription "bait", then offer free giveaway rights with the report. This allows your subscribers to give away the report themselves to build their list! This is viral marketing at it's best. You get name recognition for free and your subscribers also have a free report they can use as a lead generator. In your free report, include your URL to your opt-in page so you get subscribers on autopilot!

OK, there you have it, 2 hands-off techniques to generating subscribers with no additional effort or advertising outlay. Go try them out today, you'll be surprised at the results!

How To Boost Your Search Engine Rankings (Where To Concentrate Your Energy)

Most people are astonished at the cost of using search engine optimization companies. These companies often charge thousands of dollars just to manage your search engine campaigns. The truth is, it doesn't require rocket science to catapult your website up the rankings.

There are two main things you should know about SEO - onsite optimization and offsite optimization. Onsite optimization refers to customizing your site so that it is more search engine friendly. Offsite optimization refers to the building of backlinks (incoming links) to your website.

Many experts regard offsite optimization as being a more important factor to getting super high rankings. A site which doesn't 'tick all the boxes' but has sufficient quality incoming links will rank very well on Google or Yahoo.

So really you should concentrate your energy on building backlinks to your website. Quantity and quality are the key here. You'd want as many links from as many relevant websites as possible. If the site that is linking to yours is not relevant, then the 'linking power' of the incoming link will not be as strong as from a website that covers a topic similar to yours. Search engines like Google or Yahoo want to provide relevant content to their users, and that is why this is the case.

Some ways to boost your number of backlinks include posting in forums, using social bookmarking sites to create incoming links, creating blogs (which are viewed as authority sites) and writing articles. Those are some highly effective ways to get a stream of juicy backlinks.

Trans Atlantic SEO: Is A Call Centre The Same As A Call Center?

"We (the British and Americans) are two countries separated by a common language."
G.B. Shaw

There is a patina of friendly competition that spans the north Atlantic, and misunderstandings can be humorous and worthy of retelling many times over a whiskey. As an American replied when asked, by an Englishman, why he pronounced words in such a curious way, he said perhaps we went to different schools.

Well, different schools it may be, but language is changing on both sides of the Atlantic, and anyone with a website that wants to take advantage of two of the biggest markets in online business, should know exactly when search engines find it important.

It was Noah Webster who changed many words to their present form. Slowly he Americanised spelling. He chose s over c in words like defence; he changed the re to er in words like centre; changed traveller to traveler, and although at first he kept the u in words like colour or favour, he changed them in later editions of his dictionary.

So what are the ramifications of for SEO.

Let us take as an example www.opexhosting.com.

OPEX are a provider of call centre solutions in the UK, so on the face of it would use key phrases like call centre, or contact centre, with the 'er' ending as they are spelled in the UK.

It is not, however, quite that simple.

A tool that says it provides results depending on what market you are aiming at is the yahoo search marketing keyword tool (Overture).

If I type in call centre in the section designed to exhibit UK results, I find that the UK spelling does not come up at all in the singular spelling of the word. It seems that the UK spelling of call centre has dropped from the radar entirely.

Are we getting confused about spelling in old blighty? It wouldnt be the first time. We might drive 60 miles, but then run 100 metres, a hot day can be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, but it is cold at sub zero degrees centigrade, cars are filled in Litres, but a car that does 50 miles to the gallon is doing its bit to save the planet.

Not giving in I went back to my trusty keyword tool and tried again with catalogue, and it came back with results spelled catalog.

Smelling a rat I popped across to the overture bid tool, and found that the bids were exactly the same for the US and UK spellings. It seems that yahoo search marketing (or what used to be overture) bundles US and UK spellings in the same pot. I was not going to get any meaningful data here.

I then took a look at the keyword suggestion tool at wordtracker.com which finally gave me some recognisable results. Using its own database of searched for terms, It told me that 570 people per day were searching for call center (US) and 92 were looking for a call centre (UK). So UK English is, most probably, still being used in England.

But how do search engines react to the different spellings?

Google does take notice. If we type Contact centre into Google we get different results to contact center, as we do for color and colour, so Google does not just bundle the results into one big lump.

How do the results differ? Well for a start in the US version of Google, which seems to get from 70% to 80% of Google traffic even in the UK, call center gets 947,000,000 results, and call centre gets 157,000,000, which is a very similar ratio to the wordtracker results at around 6 to 1 US to UK spellings.

If we look at google.co.uk results are, of course, biased more towards UK results, including spelling. But with many UK websites reporting only 25% to 30% of Google traffic coming from the UK version its search engine, we find ourselves in a quandary.

If we do a search on call centres, in Googles US version, using the English spelling, the number two slot is a website that does not have the UK version of the word in it.

Put simply.

If you are an American or an English site, with any keywords that require different spellings for each side of the pond, and you want to either capture the other market or even, in the case of UK sites, be sure of covering all angles in your own market, best optimise for both.

So how do we do that.

One way is to maintain a .co.uk (or .com.au etc) and a .com site. This risks tripping over Googles duplicate content algorithm made popular in the jagger update, and marketing efforts, like link building, would have to be for two separate sites.

Another possibility is to use both UK and US spelling in the same site content. But how does this look in a site that is trying to tell its visitors that they are an eloquent business proposition. Well, it is possible to put alternative spellings into things like meta tags and image alts. Its perfectly legal, although Noah Webster might turn in his grave.

Internet Marketing Articles - Have You Ever Heard of PRE-Selling? Probably Not Like This!

Article marketing is said to be one of the absolute best ways to get the most highly targeted traffic to your website. If you haven't heard this yet, you will be hearing this again. Want to know something that will really help you be effective when writing Internet marketing articles? Don't write about your product or services!

Most of you haven't heard that before. Then why would I write articles you might ask? Simple, to passively introduce yourself using a concept called PREselling to find people that have an interest in topics related to your products or services so that when they do need or want to look at some specific information, you have already shown them that you are credible and capable of giving an unbiased opinion.

It's a simple strategy really, even though it is grossly underutilized. Your information or topic should cast a wider net than your products or services do. What I mean is, if you write an interesting article on where to place your tent so you don't get caught in a flash flood while you are sleeping, and then throw in 4 helpful tips on cleaning and storing your tent after use, that will cast a pretty broad net from someone that might be a serious camper to a back yard camper who just wants to store his tent properly.

When they get to your resource box, it is best to keep with this same strategy. Saying something to the effect of "For other useful tips and little known camping strategies visit our web site," and then give the link. Even when your reader gets to your website you don't pounce on them. Here you will have great content and useful information too.

In this case, let's say you have affiliate agreements with manufactures of all different types of camping gear. Instead of having big ads all through your content, a more effective method is to create pages on your site where you do multiple product reviews. For example, a compass review page where you took the top 5 compasses and reviewed them to help your potential customers find just the right compass for their particular needs.

This is the ideal way to use article marketing and the PREsell process to drive highly targeted traffic to your affiliate links which people can use to buy products in which you get paid for the marketing. Have you ever thought you could be more successful by being less pushy?

Let's look at this from the reader's perspective once. How many people do you think are out looking for compasses? Not very many. But if they are, let's say you get your 1% of them to come to you and buy a compass by paying for ads and not using the PREsell process. In contrast, by using the PREsell technique outlined above, you get your 1% plus. Let me give you an example of someone you would not have gotten if you had just written about compasses.

I am a father that is working with my son on merit badges. This last Saturday we camped out in the back yard for the first time. I wasn't quite sure how to take care of the tent so I did a search online to see what I could find. I ran across your article, and was glad to find just what I was looking for, a quick tip on cleaning and storing my new tent.

On the bottom, I see in the resource box, that your site provides other useful tips and strategies that I might need in the future. I go to your website to take a quick look and see what other info I might find useful. While reading another article, I see a link that I can read a review on 5 different compasses. This is cool, because I knew I needed to buy a compass for me and my son for scouts.

If there would have just been an ad, I would have read it and still taken some time to look at a few more ads to try and learn some more information before I bought anything. But after reading all 5 reviews, I could see exactly why one of them was just perfect for what I would need.

I was sure glad there was a link right there so I could just order that one, get what I needed, and not have to spend any more time on it.

This is the power of PREsell. Never would the reader put up their guard, because no one was every saying, hey look at me, I am the best - want to buy me? Which would put up anyone's guard. Instead, I provided the reader with the information that they needed to follow the natural course of how most people make a buying decision without any hype or pushiness.

What if the text links strategically placed throughout your site lead your readers to a page that had 8 links on it, each to a review of 5 different brands of the same type of products? Check out our review on 5 different flashlights. Check out our review on 5 different fishing poles. Check out our review on 5 different knives. None of these things were sold in your article, but all would be perfect fits for your readers.

Maybe you have affiliate agreements for all 5 products maybe you don't. But in either case, you have created an environment where your reader can buy what they need without ever having to feel pushed, threatened and defensively putting their guard up. I think you get the idea. This is article marketing utilizing PREselling at its best.

Article Marketing And How It Works

It is an established fact that Article Marketing works by a large number of Internet Marketers in wide variety of niches. This has been repeatedly proven. However, those who have not ever attempted article marketing tend to think that it is harder or more time consuming than it actually is.

Starts by writing an article. This can be done by yourself or you can hire a ghost writer. The cost of ghost written articles is usually less than $10.00 for a 300 to 500 word article. It is important that the article be informative and related to your niche. The article should not sound like a sales letter.

At the end of the article, you include your 'resource box.' A resource box is simply information about the author, and it usually includes a link to the authors related website, a link to subscribe to a newsletter, and possibly even an email address to contact the author. If your article is ghost written, you are still the author.

Underneath the resource box, you type a statement giving others the right to reprint the article for free, as long as they don't change it and keep your resource box attached. This allows others to help make your article viral.

Once the article is written, you should distribute it to as many article directories as you can find. It helps to also send the article to ezine publishers within your niche for consideration. You can find lists of ezines in the various ezine directories that are available on the Internet.

There is article-submission software that can be used to speed up submitting your article in. One example of this type of software is Instant Article Submitter at www.instantarticlesubmitter.com . There are also services that will manually submit your article to directories. This is highly recommended because many article directories do not allow and will not accept articles submitted with software. One such recommended article submission service is We Submit Articles at: www.wesubmitarticles.com .

Submitting the articles yourself is a time consuming task. If you can hire someone else to do that work, you will have more time overall to concentrate your efforts on other marketing tasks, including producing more articles.

Three Tips for Successful Article Marketing

You may have already heard of article marketing. However, you may not know exactly the power of it. You can build up your image as an expert in your industry by writing quality articles.

In fact, it can be even more than just building up images. In most cases you can put the URLs of your website and products. You will be able to promote them with the articles.

Moreover, the links to your website are considered back links. As you may be well aware, the number of back links is an extremely important factor which will affect the ranking of a website in search engine results. Every time you submit an article, one more back link will be gained to your website.

In order to maximize the effect of article marketing, you should bear the following three tips in mine:

The bio box

As discussed, you will be allowed to put URLs of your website or products in the articles. Most article directory will allow you to put the URLs in the bio box or resource box. This box becomes something very essential if you are serious about your article marketing campaign. Normally, a maximum of four sentences will be allowed in the bio box.

You should put your name (author name) in the resource box. Then you will probably put the links in it. In most cases you can put deep links in the article and this will certainly benefit your search engine ranking. You may also include some free such as a free report so that you can encourage readers to click through the links.

Quality of the article

In order to have a successful campaign, the quality of the article counts. You should be writing informative article instead of rubbish. You will not be able to build up your image as an expert if the articles you write are not good and informative. You should make the readers have the feeling that they have learn something after reading your article.

Article Submission

After you have written the article, you need to submit it! Regarding the submission, you have basically two choices. You can either submit it manually yourself to various directories or use some article distribution services. However, it is suggested you should choose the latter. Usually the distribution services can distribute your article to at least 500 article directories. This will save you a lot of time. It is better to take the time to write more quality and informative articles rather than manually submitting articles.

Lucrative Article Marketing - 3 Very Simple Steps to Do Article Marketing

The defining aspect of article marketing is to simply allow for your messages to be conveyed in the market thru the use of the article writing. The use of article marketing to relay any important message to the potential client is a proven effective method in both cost and results. These have become the driving forces for the continued trust and usage that a lot of businessmen and marketing experts bestow upon this tool. For the many new business enthusiasts and marketers, there are a few simple steps that you can perform should you want to engage into article marketing. Below are some of them:

a. Clearly define your targeted clients. By knowing who your potential clients are and what they basically ask for in terms of information, you will have a better perspective on how you will be creating your article material and basically the entire marketing process that you have in mind. In addition, this will also allow you to lose some unessential aspects of the article that you may inadvertently write.

b. Clearly define what you will be writing. Since you have pre-collected information about the profile of your targeted clients, you can now start collating some ideas to write for your article. Make sure, though, that the article writing is something that bears relevance in the field of specialization of the prospective readers, which will be deemed functional and usable.

c. Cleary review the contents of your resource box. At the culmination of the article material, you can write important details about you. Make sure that you include your identifiers such as your name, the company that you are representing, and potentially a link that will direct these readers to your own web landing page. However, do not try to make the resource box look like an autobiography. Make it rather short in size but strongly written.

How often have you heard someone mention an NEW idea and said, "Gee I wish I'd thought of that?" Well, now you can. And when you publish those ideas, you get credit and new customers for your ideas.

Are You Making This Stupid Mistake With Your Article Marketing?

If you are still not succeeding with your article marketing you need to look at one of the most common mistakes that many people make when they first start doing article marketing.

This was one of the things that prevented me from having success with my internet business when I first started. I produced products that nobody wanted. Looking back now it is obvious that I will not achieve success trying to sell something that people do not want. I personally think that this is the number one mistake many people make when trying to succeed with their internet business.

So the very important question is how does one know what their customer wants?

Here is a method that I have been using with a lot of success. You need to ask your subscribers what products they actually want. So for example you can create a name squeeze page that will capture your visitor's name and email address. Then the very first email that you send them you will ask what is the biggest problem that they are experiencing in that specific niche. You can then create a product that will solve that specific problem for them.

An example of an email that I use:

Hello [[firstname]]

Mark here.

Right now I need your help. Could you do me a quick 30 second favor?

I need you to reply to this email and answer this very simple question. In an effort to serve you better can you please answer the following question.

"What is most important to you about _________(this is where you will put your niche topic)?"

Just hit "reply" and send your answer back to me. It will help me to deliver information and products to you that you will find most useful.

Thanks in advance!

How to Make Your Article Viral With Directories

If you're an online business owner or manager, you have probably heard a bit about article marketing and directories. However, many people aren't aware of the different benefits that come with directories. It is quite possible to make your article viral with directories, and this article will outline how to do that as well as the benefits of article marketing.

When you are thinking of submitting your articles to directories, you should know that there are millions of people who read articles in directories every month. For this reason, it is very important for the article to meet specific guidelines and standards. The first and most important requirement for a great article to become viral is originality. The article should also be quality and keyword-rich. Search engine optimization is very important for your article marketing campaign to be effective. The proper keyword density is around 3 to 5%, or around five to six times within a 550-word article. Adding more keywords than this will simply be considered 'spam' by the search engines and you can likely be penalized as far as your search engine ranking.

Another thing you want to consider is how the article prepares the readers to visit your page and purchase a product or service. This is very important, as the reader should be left wanting more and ready to purchase. A great freelance writer or ghostwriter can help immensely with this. Because they are experienced in writing for the customers, the good ones know how to pull this off successfully. You can easily get a great writer to handle your articles for you if you don't have a lot of time. Many of them are very familiar with article marketing campaigns. Should you decide that you want to write your own article, the tips below can help you with the different directories.

There are several directories that you can use in order to drive traffic to your site and make your article viral. One of them, and perhaps the most popular, is www.ezinearticles.com. When you submit your article to Ezine Articles, you will be considered for publishing, and then when you do get published, you will have a byline that accompanies your article. This byline can include a link to your website, allowing readers to click right through to your website. The trick is to sell them subtly, without presenting sales articles or hype to the readers.

Another directory is www.associatedcontent.com. This one works much like Ezine Articles, but with Associated Content, you earn money either upfront for your article, or through the page views on your article. Of course, it's not enough money to make a living, so don't count on that, but it can be a valuable directory providing that you have great SEO within your articles. There are many other things you can do to make your articles viral with directories, but these are the most important and common tricks. Utilize them to be successful today!

Free Internet Marketing Classes - How To Quickly Become an Internet Marketing Expert

Free Internet marketing classes I thought was a pipe dream, why would anyone share their knowledge with total strangers? So I bought e-books, I joined programs, I bought leads, I did what 99% of people before and after me have done, and unfortunately will continue to do, and which for the most part will be totally in vane. You know I keep hearing that up to 98% of what is offered as online income opportunities are scams, schemes and ripoffs and I must say, after almost 8 years at this I must agree. So how does the average person find a legitimate online business and discover how to become an Internet Marketing expert?

A few years back I was fortunate enough to meet a group of Internet marketing experts that were willing to share their knowledge and expertise with me. I started to realize you don't need to spend money on programs that require a monthly autoship to succeed online. These free Internet marketing classes that I attended taught me that most of the tools that are needed to learn how to become an Internet Marketing expert are free, you just have to know where to look for them.

I was so fortunate to have this knowledge because it started to open many doors of opportunity for me that I never thought I would have. I am and will remain forever grateful to those special individuals for their unselfish and giving attitudes, that are what has made me the success I am today. True success takes effort, commitment and a never give up attitude.

Article Marketing Tips for Internet Newbies - What to Write About?

Article writing is the best way to spread your links. It is free; and it helps add value to your Internet presence through the information you share in the articles. You write an article about 500 words and submit it to prominent article directories. You can reference your web url in your resource box attached with the article. The more directories you submit your articles to, the more back links you build.

Writing articles can be challenging for some people. If you want to hold your standards high and write your own articles, it could be time-consuming. Alternatively, you can hire ghost writers to do the job for you at a cost. $10 for a 300-500 word article when you commit in bulk (maybe 8-10 articles) is a decent price.

I personally like to write my own articles despite the fact that it is time-consuming. I like the fact that it is my voice and that I learn what I have to write about through the research and experimenting.

For Internet marketing newbies, the first block may be not knowing what to write about. When you are new, you do not feel like an authority in anything. How do I come up with an article when I do not know enough about anything? You may ask.

The answer is "Quite the contrary!" You have a lot more to write about when being the newbie than a veteran to some extent. Anything you are learning can be committed to paper. This is much like a school paper. You have to do some research, carry out the experiment, share the results (or sometimes not necessarily), and reach a conclusion.

Some areas where you may find plenty to write about are:

- how each of your affiliate programs works

- how you solved a problem in building your home biz

- new things you've learned and your thoughts on them

- your views and revelations in your area of interest

- resources that you have found that have worked well for you

- documenting you success experience with step by step instruction

Covering various topics in these areas may also gradually establish you as an authority in building your home biz online.

If the above suggested areas of topics are too vague for you, there is another way that is more specific. Visit Internet marketing related forums (e.g. Warriorforum). Pay attention to what questions people are asking. Make those questions your assigned topics to write about. Do the necessary research (if you do not already know the answer) and document your findings and conclusions. Since the same questions are asked over and over again by different people, you may get a chance to share your findings at a later opportunity, which will in turn build you a solid backlink (when you plant your web url in your signature).

Still another specific way to find what to write about is to read what other people have written. Then, try to rehash the same content in your own words adding your own spin to it. It is better that you add some new and/or unique input to the original content. This is not difficult to do as we are all so opinionated and find ourselves disagreeing with each other easily and often.

It is also advisable to keep a list of topics you want to write about. If you are like me, you will have days when you feel extremely inspired that you have something to say about everything. Those are usually the times when you only have enough time to do perhaps one article. Other times, you are dealt the writer's block where you just cannot think of anything to write about. Experience tells me that it is a smart habit to get into to note down all the things you want to comment/write about in your brief moments of inspiration. These notes, though it takes some discipline to keep, will prove to be little sparkles of intellect when your mind goes through the duller phase.
