Article Marketing For Better Search Engine Ranking

The key elements to obtaining a higher ranking at major search engines are:

1.Valuable, regularly updated and Search Engine friendly content. This inclusive of the first stages of design, assignment of proper tags and keywords, and web page content, for both humans and Search Engines to read.

2.And the quantity and quality of links, preferably one-way, pointing back to your website.

To Search Engines, a well-linked web site has more value than those with less or none at all. Search Engines tend to rank websites with higher number of quality incoming links (links found at other web pages with high ranking that would direct clicks to your web site).

One way increase your web site's incoming links is through article marketing. It is a marketing strategy that has been more popular in its online advertising form. By doing article marketing, the author or company gains authority or have their expertise make known within the market that they are operating in. The marketer provides valuable information on a certain niche in the form of articles. These articles are then freely distributed to different article directories.

Article Marketing entails time and knowledge or money. Businesses owners/ professionals could also opt to do the writing themselves if they lack the money. Having the money, and not so much time or having poor English, a company or professional could choose to hire ghostwriters who would be willing to give up copyright of their work for a price. Or it could also work with the combination of the factors given depending on what suits the entrepreneur best.

The key to getting articles accepted by the directories are quality content, no advertisement in the article body and no links or if any, just those directed to helpful resources. You also have to work on a resource box that urges the reader to take action to gain business leads.

In need of a ghostwriter? Settle for nothing but the best, even on a budget. Why wait?

I stumbled upon affiliate marketing just over a year ago while surfing the web. I did not quite understand it so after a bit of research, I learned of Clickbank and Commission Junction which are two of the main affiliate marketing resources. At this site you are able to start promoting a huge range of products for free and make money without investing any money at all. Incredible Article Marketing Case Study - Brain Picking Secrets That I Have Learned

Article marketing is one of my favourite methods of traffic generation. The reason for this is that it generates the highest quality lead possible.

I have just noticed that I have written over 580 articles. These have created 58,000 page views, 4510 url clicks to my squeeze page and been published 2,500 times. These are really amazing statistics and I have just gotten going with my article marketing efforts.

In this article I would like to go through the lessons that I have learned from this. When I first started out I was not so sure what to expect from article marketing.

The one most valuable lesson that I have learned from all of this is that it takes time to develop skill. I remember when I started out I really was terrible at writing. As I continually did this I gradually improved. Over time you get better and better. However, when you first start out it will seem like a very big hurdle that you need to climb.

The biggest disappoint about this method of promoting your website is that after 100 articles you may not see that fantastic results yet. However, keep on going the results will be worth it over time. As you continue your results will get better and better. This is a long term strategy and if you are looking for quick results I do not suggest that you attempt this at all because you will totally get frustrated.

Now the most important part of marketing this way is that your leads are a lot more responsive and more likely to buy from you. One of the biggest problems with building a list is actually getting people to buy from you. It is not as easy as what people say. People only buy from other people that they like, know and trust.

Are you really interested in driving massive traffic to your website?

How To Make Money Online By Knowing What You Are Worth

Salespeople are not paid for their ability to cold call. Anyone can pick up a phone, dial a random number and be told, "No." Salespeople are paid for their knowledge about how to turn that "no" into a "yes."

Expert witnesses get called in by lawyers because of what they know not because they can see the tire tracks in the mud. They understand what those tire tracks mean.

Everyone in a professional setting is paid for what they know and not what they do. You can do the same while you make money online. You are entitled to be compensated appropriately. The first thing you need to know when you want to do this is how to determine your worth. What are people getting paid and why are they getting paid that? Once you know the value of your knowledge then you can get "make money online."

Maybe you are worried that what you know is only worth $5.00 at the most. $5.00 does not seem like a lot of money nor does it even seem worth it. When looking at the bigger picture, however, it is much more appealing. 75% of Americans have access to the internet. If 1,000 people pay you $5.00 then you have made $5,000! If 10,000 people pay you $5.00 then you have made $50,000! And you can make that money online. All you have to do is know what you are worth.

Learning How to Make Money Online with Your Skills

We all have talents. Most people do not know the value of the wealth of information they hold in their minds. Do you have a knack for words? Are you really good with needlepoint? Are you a good craftsman or fly fisherman? Perhaps you are a hunter and you know the ins and outs of skinning game or tanning hides. All of those can be marketable skills. All of those can help you make money online.

There is nothing wrong or shameful about asking to be compensated for your knowledge. It took you time, effort and probably money to learn what you know and you have the right to ask to be compensated. Just because you want to make money online does not mean your services are less valuable than anyone else's services.

When we really think about it, don't we pay all professionals for what they know? Are administrative assistants paid for their ability to pick up a phone handset? No. They are paid for their ability to juggle twelve different tasks and make sure their boss knows the dry cleaning is picked up and Mr. Jones is the client who is allergic to peanuts. They are paid for what they know and how well they know it.

Making Money Online is not easy but if your taught correctly, a six to seven figure income is highly attainable.

Truths of Automatic Article Submission Software

By now, you probably have come across automatic article submission software like Article Post Robot and Instant Article Submitter. Perhaps you could even be using them now to generate consistent traffic to your websites. Otherwise, you might be interested to find out more about the uses, benefits and even possible inadequacies of using article submission software for your article marketing efforts. This article will disclose never-revealed truths about automatic article submission software from the very word of a veteran article marketer, the author of this article.

Automatic article submission software essentially is a tool used to submit your articles to article directories. Not one or two article directories but hundreds of article directories. Why would anyone submit an article to hundreds of article directories? The only simple reason is Traffic. Posting your articles with automatic article submission software to many article directories dramatically improves your chance of getting your articles read by visitors. Not only so, some article directories may even circulate your articles among their network of publishers. Concurrently, many Ezine publishers and webmasters constantly hunt for good, unique content at article directories.

But every article marketer knows that submitting an article without the help of an automatic article submission software to dozens and hundreds of article directories is a real pain. Hours can be spent before the computer, login into article directories, copy and pasting article content, titles, resource boxes and so on. By the time you are done, you would be left bored and dry. I can understand that because that was what I did when I started article marketing. During that period, many online authors including myself wished that there was an easier and painless method that could do the job.

There are article submission services like Article Marketer and iSnare. And I too used these services to submit my articles and distribute them as much as possible. But article marketers like myself soon felt that it would be great if we could do away with the monthly bills of using these services to submit articles. We wanted something just as powerful but without the monthly price tag. Then automatic article submission software emerged to fill the role.

Not only can automatic article submission software quickly post my articles to hundreds of article directories, I soon realize another hidden power of this secret weapon. My websites were starting to occupy top spots in the search engines. With each posting, each individual website was getting high Page Rank one-way backlinks. And the best part is they are all FREE. I was getting Page 1 search engine rankings for several of my websites after a few weeks of posting articles to all those free article directories. And I was only posting one article a day. Wow! It was like a revelation to me. And with my automatic article submission software, I was able to post an article to hundreds of article directories within a day.

The rest is history. More of my websites get onto top search engine placements resulting in an avalanche of targeted traffic. Good sales followed. While the whole idea of using automatic article submission software is fantastic, such tools are not meant to help you in your article writing. In other words, you still have to be good at writing or hire a writer to create unique quality content.

Perhaps one day, someone will create the perfect article marketing tool one with functions of automatic article submission software and a real author. But for now, automatic article submission software is the favorite tool of every article marketer. Gain more article marketing tips from my article marketing blog as I disclose a review of the top automatic article submission software.

Ezine Articles - The Benefits Of Publishing

Writing articles and having them published in ezines (electronic magazines) and on websites is one of the most effective free promotional resource available on the Internet.

When you submit your articles (ie offer them for publishing), a "resource box" is attached to each article. The resource box is simply a couple of sentences containing a brief bit of biographical information about the author or a reference to the author's field of expertise or interest. Most importantly, the resource box contains a link to the author's website.

You need to get the widest possible circulation for your article. To do this, you could submit the article to owners of websites with similar content to the subject of your article. This, however, is a time consuming process and the same results can be achieved faster if you submit your articles to article directories. If there are certain high ranking websites where you particularly want to place your article, you can email the webmasters of those sites direct. However, excellent results can be obtained simply by submitting your articles to directories. When you submit your articles, each one will automatically be available for anyone to republish provided that they do not change the article in any way and that they include your resource box with the link to your website.

Simply having your article posted on article directory websites means that each directory is providing a one-way link back to your website and this will enhance your website's status with the search engines. Free one-way links are sought after by all webmasters, but the benefits of article publishing do not stop there.

Once your article is published on the article directory websites, it will be discovered by owners of websites and ezines who visit the article directories looking for content to use in their web pages or to send to the people who subscribe to their ezines. When these website owners publish your article (complete with resource box) you get the benefit of further one-way links back to your website. When other webmasters read the ezines and like your article, they will use it on their websites and this gives you more one-way links back to your site. When these websites are visited by other webmasters, they can pick up your article and publish it on their websites or in their newsletters where it will be seen by further webmasters This should give you a pretty clear idea of the viral nature of advertising by article writing. Just sending your article to a few directories can result in it being published in hundreds of different locations, thereby giving you more one-way links, but the benefits do not stop even there.

We have looked at the benefits of article writing as a way of obtaining valuable one-way links. There are also direct benefits to be obtained from every published article in terms of human appreciation. All those webmasters who are republishing your articles are doing so because they believe the article will interest, amuse or maybe even educate their subscribers or site visitors. When people read your article and find it interesting, amusing or informative, they will quite likely click the link to your website.

Sometimes article readers who visit your website will do so out of pure curiosity, others might be looking for something specific and, with luck, you will be offering that very item and will make a sale. Maybe the curious visitor will sign up for your newsletter to see what else they can learn from you or maybe they will bookmark your website for future visits and make a purchase at a later time. Any of these outcomes are satisfactory - the visitors have cost you nothing apart from the time spent in writing and submitting the article and a good article will continue to spread and work for you for years to come.

Powerful Article Marketing - 4 Effective Methods to Accelerate Your Article Marketing

Article marketing, as millions of webmasters would agree, is currently the best website promotional tool that aims to drive huge, quality traffic to your website without the need to spend a single dime. As this marketing tool is easy to use and proven to deliver great results, it is currently the most used traffic-generating and advertising tool in the internet today.

Here are the 4 effective methods to accelerate your article marketing:

1. Quality. This is the most important element in your article marketing campaign. You have to make sure that all your articles are of high quality and well-written to increase your clickthrough rate and convince more people to widely distribute your articles online. As you know, the more people publishing your articles, the more inbound links you will be able to obtain for your website.

2. Title. Most new marketers ignore this element as they think that the quality of their articles is enough to stir attention online. This is but plain wrong and could be deadly for your marketing strategy. You need to understand that even before online users can check on your content, they would consider your titles first. If they are not intriguing and attention-grabbing, there is no way that your articles will be opened and read.

3. Optimize. Make your articles search engine-friendly so they will become highly searchable online. Download a reliable keyword suggestion tool to figure out which keywords are usually searched within you target niche and sprinkle them all throughout your content. Don't forget to include your main keyword on your titles too.

4. Publishing sites. Consider the page ranking and quality of traffic of article submission sites before you post your articles. Do not waste your time on sites that are not even indexed by Google as these cannot help you realize your article marketing goals.

Article Marketing - How to Improve Your Targeted Lead Generation Using Article Writing Techniques

Like most internet marketers, network marketers and online business owners you are always searching to find responsive sources of targeted lead generation and increased web site traffic, at least thats what I am constantly being asked about.

You have heard it all before, all the things you must do:

  • Target your market
  • Increase web site traffic
  • Entice responses to your opt in forms
  • Collect your leads contact information
  • Improve conversion rates
  • Build your lists
  • Monetize your lists

Your question is still - How do you do that effectively?

Start by learning how to deploy an article writing strategy to target your lead generation efforts by:

  1. Researching the categories in popular article directories, and select topics that are relevant to your target market for your article writing campaign
  2. Researching keyword phrases related to those topics, for example, if you Google "targeted lead generation" or "lead generation you will find the competition is 11, 300 for the former compared to 1,900,000 for the latter, hence you would use the phrase "targeted lead generation" to attract visitors interested in that segment of the broader lead generation market.
  3. Targeting your keyword phrases in your article writing, to improve your conversion rate of article readers to visit the "targeted lead generation" anchor text in the link of your articles "bio" or "resource box" leading them to your web site.
  4. Providing valuable content to help your readers answer their questions, or solve the problem is your primary purpose in article writing. By doing so you will establish yourself as a "go-to" resource in your target market, that your targeted leads will want to hear from, so they will be willing to give you their contact information, if you ask them in an appropriate manner.

Internet Marketing Secret to Success

Ive always said there are no secrets in Internet Marketing. But sure there are. The Google search and quality score algorithms are secrets, pretty much, just as a quick example.

However, when someone is trying to sell you his latest greatest secret that got him a huge bank account, and he used those secret techniques never before revealed: Bah, humbug.

So, technically, the above headline is just to grab attention.

However if you arent aware of something, its a secret to you, so with that in mind, Id like to reveal my secret 8 steps to Internet Marketing success. Here are the steps you have to take to make it:

* Wanting

* Attempting

* Learning

* Believing

* Focusing

* Working

* Achieving

* Enjoying

I might have left something out in some situations, but for me, wanting, attempting, and learning consumed (as I wrote in my book) about 3 years of my life. Totally consumed it, in fact.

Then I finally learned what I needed to learn (for me it was Campaign Blasting), and I finally reached the step of believing.

The last 4 steps came in rapid succession.

Regardless of your current status, you can reach step 8, I have no doubt about it at all, if youre willing to do what it takes. I mentioned on our forum recently that I expect that most of our members are at least on step 3, and most are on step 6.

In reading posts on other forums, I see too many at step 1, and fear they will be there forever. For example, I saw a post the other day. The person wanted to earn $6,000 in 4 months, and he wanted suggestions. Someone gave him a good suggestion to try Bum Marketing, and his response was Im not interested in writing articles.

Uh, excuse me? Im not interested in getting out of a warm bed on a cold day, either, but some things require doing some things that you arent interested in doing.

Read the steps. Do the steps. Leave out a step and youre asking for trouble, IMO.

Where are you today? What can you do this month to get to the next step? Ask yourself how much it would be worth to you to get there. How much time? How much effort? How much money?

Step 4 (believing) can be the quickest to achieve, and the hardest to achieve, at the same time. Some people have a devil of a time because their guard is up, non believing all the hype around them. And that can be a good thing. But then again, if you believe everyone is a scammer and a liar, who will you choose for a mentor?

It sometimes takes an ah-ha moment like I had in 2005. I read a report written by someone that I knew and trusted. I said if he can do that, I can do that. And then, just like that, I did that. The rest is history.

For some people, believing doesnt happen until they see someone close to them do something amazing. Many know the story of Roger Bannister, the first person to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Prior to his accomplishing that, it was widely believed that no human being could perform that feat. Soon after he did it, several others did also.

What happened there? Did they become stronger or faster in a few weeks? Did they learn a new technique? No, not at all. All that happened was that suddenly they learned that running a mile in under 4 minutes was in fact humanly possible.

If he can do that, I can do that, they said. And they did that.

Youve heard it many times: "What the mind believes, it can achieve."

Easier said than done, I know. But there are techniques that speed up the process.

Writing SEO Copy - 8 Steps to Success

We all know that the lions share of web traffic comes through the search engines. We also know that keywords and links to your site are the two things that affect your ranking in the search engines. Your keywords tell the search engines what you do, and the inbound links tell them how important you are. This combination is what determines your relevance. And relevance is what the search engines are after.

Theres a lot of information around about how to incorporate keyword phrases into your HTML meta tags. But thats only half the battle. You need to think of these tags as street-signs. Thats how the search engines view them. They look at your tags and then at your copy. If the keywords you use in your tags arent used in your copy, your site wont be indexed for those keywords.

But the search engines dont stop there. They also consider how often the keyword phrase is used on the page.

To put it simply, if you dont pepper your site with your primary keywords, you wont appear in the search results when a potential customer searches for those keywords.

But how do you write keyword-rich copy without compromising readability?

Readability is all-important to visitors. And after all, its the visitors that buy your product or service, not search engines.

By following these 8 simple guidelines, youll be able to overhaul the copy on your website ensuring its agreeable to both search engines and visitors.

1) Categorise your pages

Before writing, think about the structure of your site. If you havent built your site yet, try to create your pages around key offerings or benefits. For example, divide your Second Hand Computers site into separate pages for Macs, and PCs, and then segment again into Notebooks, Desktops, etc. This way, youll be able to incorporate very specific keyword phrases into your copy, thereby capturing a very targeted market. If youre working on an existing site, print out each page and label it with its key point, offering, or benefit.

2) Find out what keywords your customers are searching for

Go to www.wordtracker.com and subscribe for a day (this will only cost you about AUD$10). Type in the key points, offerings, and benefits you identified for each page, and spend some time analysing what words customers use when theyre searching for these things. These are the words youll want to use to describe your product or service. (Make sure you read WordTrackers explanation of their results.)

3) Use phrases, not single words

Although this advice isnt specific to the web copy, its so important that its worth repeating here. Why? Well firstly, theres too much competition for single keywords. If youre in computer sales, dont choose computers as your primary keyword. Go to Google and search for computers and youll see why Secondly, research shows that customers are becoming more search-savvy theyre searching for more and more specific strings. Theyre learning that by being more specific, they find what theyre looking for much faster.

Ask yourself whats unique about your business? Perhaps you sell cheap second hand computers? Then why not use cheap second hand computers as your primary keyword phrase. This way, youll not only stand a chance in the rankings, youll also display in much more targeted searches. In other words, a higher percentage of your sites visitors will be people after cheap second hand computers. (WordTrackers results will help you choose the most appropriate phrases.)

4) Pick the important keyword phrases

Dont include every keyword phrase on every page. Focus on one or two keyword phrases on each page. For your Macs page, focus on cheap second hand macs. For the PCs page, focus on cheap second hand pcs, etc.

5) Be specific

Dont just say our computers. Wherever you would normally say our computers, ask yourself if you can get away with saying our cheap second hand Macs or our cheap second hand PCs. If this doesnt affect your readability too badly, its worth doing. Its a fine balance though. Remember, your site reflects the quality of your service. If your site is hard to read, people will infer a lot about your service

6) Use keyword phrases in links

Although you shouldnt focus on every keyword phrase on every page, its a good idea to link your pages together with text links. This way, when the search engines look at your site, theyll see that the pages are related. Once again, the more text links the better, especially if the link text is a keyword phrase. So on your Cheap Second Hand Macs page, include a text link at the bottom to Cheap Second Hand PCs. If you can manage it without affecting readability, also include one within the copy of the page. For example, As well as providing cheap second hand Macs, we sell high quality cheap second hand PCs. TIP: If you dont want your links to be underlined and blue, include the following in your CSS file:

<style type="text/css"> <!-- a {text-decoration: none;} --> </style>

Then format the HTML of each link as follows:

As well as providing cheap second hand Macs, we sell high quality cheap second hand pcs.

7) Use keyword phrases in headings

Just as customers rely on headings to scan your site, so to do search engines. This means headings play a big part in how the search engines will categorise your site. Try to include your primary keyword phrases in your headings. In fact, think about inserting extra headings just for this purpose. Generally this will also help the readability of the site because it will help customers scan read.

8) Test keyword phrase density

Once youve made a first pass at the copy, run it through a density checker to get some metrics. Visit http://www.gorank.com/analyze.php and type in the domain and keyword phrase you want to analyse. Itll give you a percentage for all the important parts of your page, including copy, title, meta keywords, meta description, etc. The higher the density the better. Generally speaking, a density measurement of at least 3-5% is what youre looking for. Any less, and youll probably need to take another pass.

Follow these guidelines, and youll be well on your way to effective SEO copy.

Just remember, dont overdo it. Its not easy to find the balance between copy written for search engines and copy written for customers. In many cases, this balance will be too difficult to achieve without professional help. Dont worry, though. If youve already performed your keyword analysis, a professional website copywriter should be able to work your primary keyword phrases into your copy at no extra charge.

Before you start to promote your site over the internet, it is best to first find out what search term or also known as "keyword" that you want to use to build your campaign. It should be a keyword that is related to your site and one that is actually being searched for. A great keyword research tool that you can use is Google Keyword Tool. Using this tool you can type in a keyword manually or let Google analyze your site by typing in your site address. It will return all the keywords that are found on your site and you can filter the results by search volume and competition.

Once you choose your keyword or keywords you will want to implement this in your site which is known as On-Page Optimization. Ensure that your keywords Meta tag reflect that your keywords are included; the keyword should be in your Title or at least a variation. Also in your site content it is best to have this keyword in your content in the right places but don't keywords stuff your site where it may look unnatural. When a keyword accounts for 10% of the entire page content this is too much. When using keywords in your site, Search Engines will pick up if the keywords are in bold or italic. There are more ways to optimize your on page content but there is too much to cover in this article. I started with the basics.

Now for Off-Page Optimization also known as link building, this is one of the most important factors when it comes to your site getting ranked in Google. There are many options when building links. Generally it is best to get your site listed on high page rank pages that are relevant to your site. But that is always not so easy to do. The first link building technique I will mention is Article Submissions. Article Marketing can greatly increase your Google search exposure. You can write an article about something that is related to your site's content, and at the end of the article you can add 3 anchor texts and 3 hyperlinks that will point back to your site. You can then submit this article to article directories and when your site is accepted into the directory you will get back links from the hyperlinks in the article. When creating the anchor texts in the articles make sure you are using your targeted keywords that I mentioned earlier.

Another link building option is submitting your website to website directories or also known as search directories. There are many free ones out there that you can submit your site to. Just like the article submission, when your site is listed on a web directory you will get a backlink from the directory which passes "juice" onto your site. When creating the information to submit your website to directories the most important thing is choosing the right Anchor Text. Make sure when you create Anchor text you are again using your targeted keywords in it. Also make at least 5 variations of the anchor text. If Google sees your site was submitted to 500 directories all with the same anchor text this may be seen as duplicate content and then you most likely will not receive credit for the backlink.

These are just a few ways that you can increase your Google Search Engine Result Page's. There are many other ways for link building and On-Page Optimization.

Aggressive Article Marketing Strategies That Will Rake In The Big Bucks

Article marketing is one of the very best ways that you can market your business. The main advantage over many other advertising methods is that the leads convert up to 10 times better than other sources and it is also free.

In this article I would like to go over the basics that you need to do to succeed. Article marketing is very time intensive and if you do not spend time writing for a few hours a day then I suggest that you use another method of promoting your website.

Here is the formula that I use to achieve success promoting my business using this method. This works for me and there is a good chance that it will work for you to.

The most important part is to have a killer title that grabs attention. I have extensively tested this. Articles with boring titles seldom create much of an impact for good results. The other important factor that you need to consider is choosing your keywords correctly and including it in the title. If you do not do this you will get traffic from the directory that you submit to, but not from search engines where people are searching for information.

The next important part is to help your reader. You need to share information first that will help them. If you give first you are more likely to receive. If you share a slice of your expertise there is a much greater chance that your reader will join your newsletter and become a paid customer.

Finally, make sure that you have your unique selling proposition in your resource box. This will be your 30 second elevator pitch that will make your reader want to click through to your website.

3. Don't bore your readers! Add some sizzle and spice.

4. Be unique and show your personality! Don't be afraid to be yourself.

5. Always keep your articles short, sweet, concise... and to the point. Each article should be about 300 to 700 words.

6. When adding articles (as content) to your website, you can make your article as long as you'd like, however when submitting to article directories to promote your affiliate products and or your own sites you want to follow their strict guidelines which usually involve a specific maximum word count and format.

7. Use bulleted points and break up lines of text with transitional effects like this... and this -- or use (parenthesis like this) to make it easier on your reader's eyes.

And always try to keep this vital tips in mind as well when writing...

A well marketing article should consist of short sentences and short paragraphs, bulleted points and sub-headings, each addressing a specific point of topic in your article.

Link Bait - What is it?

The internet marketing world prides itself on its own language and set of unique terminology that only someone used to surfing the wild and wooly world of SEO blogs would understand. While this makes for a nice code amongst those in the know, oftentimes I find new clients totally in the dark with the jargon, and afraid to ask for an explanation for fear of looking foolish! With the explosion of blogs and other social media, the term du jour for many web professionals is "link bait". While it might sound a little bit high tech and mysterious, it is actually neither! Let's take a quick, closer look.

Link bait simply refers to creating content that is designed to attract readers from around the web. I like to call it "strategic content" as it's written with a surreptitious goal in mind: To have other bloggers and social networks comment or refer to it in their own respective sites and communities as a "must read" piece of content. Of course, you are probably thinking that this is should be your goal for EVERY post you make, right? And this is true...but the fact of the matter is that is often tough to break through the noise online, and to REALLY attract readers like wildfire to a particular post or item on your site, you need to be a bit more pre-meditated in your planning than a normal post. I have a short list of 7 "C's" that I refer to when I NEED a big burst of readers, and need to ruffle some feathers or take special care to get them. Here they are:

1) Confrontation

2) Compilation

3) Comedy

4) Compliment

5) Controversy

6) Charity

7) Creativity

Any one (or combination) of these elements in a good post should attract a bevy of new readers! My personal favorite is Confrontation, just because it is so darn effective..:-) People occasionally need to be disrupted from their daily thought patterns to take a closer look at what you have to say, and if you challenge enough people, or a popular enough public conception, you are sure to get a backload of new backsides to your blog (or website!)

There you have it! Link bait explained. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Go ruffle some feathers and have some fun..:-)

Ten More Secret Marketing Strategies To Boost Your Sales

1. The "Re-Reading" Strategy

The "I've read it (no.) times already..." strategy tells future customers that the affiliate info-product that you are selling is so good that you read, listened or watched it multiple times. You could even add up the number of hours or days you took out of your spare time. For example, "I've spent well over 16 hours of my spare time this week reading and re-reading it and enjoyed every minute of it."

2. The "Million Dollar Secret" Strategy

The "discover the ($) secret..." strategy tells future customers that you made a specific amount of money using one tip, strategy, secret, trick, etc., from the money-making information product you are selling. You could name all your benefits in your sales letter after the amounts of money you made off each one and keep the details of each benefit a secret. It will draw a lot of curiosity for your products. For example, "Learn the $15,678 strategy"; "Discover the $45 per hour formula"; etc.

3. The "I Own Many" Strategy

The "I'm the owner of several other very successful web sites..." strategy tells future customers that the web site they are on is only one of the web sites you own. You can tell them the name, URL and traffic ranking (if it's good) of the web sites. It will show them just how successful you are and give you some extra credibility. Plus, you may make some sales from the people who decide to check out your other web sites too.

4. The "No Reason" Strategy

The "there is no reason you couldn't do what (a name) did..." strategy tells future customers that you are commenting on one of the people from your testimonials in your sales letter. Plus if the person in the testimonial has gone through more obstacles than most of future customers, then say something like: "There is no reason you couldn't do what Mike did and he did it with only one arm."

5. The "Extra Resources" Strategy

The "if you want to learn more about (your product's topic), here are (no.) excellent sources (links)..." strategy tells future customers other products they may need that aren't in direct competition with yours in your sales letter. You could even recommend the products with your own affiliate links to make money. Just make sure those other web sites open in another window so people don't leave your sales letter page.

6. The "Anyone Of You" Strategy

The "anyone can do this..." strategy tells future customers that anyone who purchases your product can gain their desired benefit. You can tell them people just like them are doing it every day. You can mention the different types of your customers who are benefiting, like: cab drivers, plumbers, teachers, bakers, chefs, mechanics, etc.

7. The "Hyper Keyword" Strategy

The "business(hyperlinked), marketing(hyperlinked), increase traffic(hyperlinked)..." strategy tells future customers that many of the keywords and key phrases in your ad copy are text links too. They will be curious to click on one to see where it leads. You could lead them to an opt-in page, an Adsense page, an affiliate product page, to your other product page, etc. It will give you the chance to make extra profits even if they don't buy your main product. Just make sure those pages open up in other windows so that they don't leave your main sales letter.

8. The "Leave Now" Strategy

The "leave this page if you want to (a negative effect)..." strategy tells future customers that if they aren't going to do anything to improve their life, you don't have any time for them. For example, "Get out of here if you want to be overweight forever!"; "Don't purchase if you want to be broke!" etc. Most people don't want negative problems in their lives so it may persuade them to buy.

9. The "Niche Bonus" Strategy

The "free bonus: hey, (type of people) this is for you: (the bonus)..." strategy tells future customers that you may be selling a product that anyone can buy but you are targeting one or more of your bonuses to a select group of people. It could be a free bonus for women, men, doctors, marketers, stay-at-home moms, etc. It will help you sell more products to a particular group of people and you can advertise your product on highly targeted web sites, search engines, etc.

10. The "Negative Guarantee" Strategy

The "this guarantee is for any (negative label) that can't (your product's benefit)..." strategy tells future customers that if they can't get their desired benefit with your product and ask for a refund, they will be labeled something they don't want to be labeled. For example: "This guarantee is for any quitter that can't achieve a B+ average."

How I Continuously Make Thousands Of Dollars Using Free Marketing Strategies

After taking the time in my Internet Marketing career to learn the ropes, I now take advantage of every FREE marketing resource available to man that there is possibly to take advantage of. I used my article marketing skills to maintain top position on Google with my website.

My most effective FREE marketing technique is uploading many videos to YouTube. In doing so, I've branded myself and a lot of prospects who come to YouTube and visit my channel and watch my videos, afterwards they see me as the leader that I am and then join my team.

I visit forums frequently and join in the group discussions to drive more targeted traffic to my website. There are many more FREE marketing techniques that have helped my online business and not to mention top search engine placement mainly.

I find that this year the Network Marketing industry will become more exposed and also more lucrative then what it currently is due to more and more individuals every day wanting to start their own home based business.

The key to MySpace marketing is creating a profile that will attract the targeted audience. It is no good creating a MySpace profile where you will solely be aiming to promote your product and not yourself. In most cases, promoting your product can equal to a lot of spam and then the first week of creating your MySpace account, it will probably be flagged and deleted.

In order to succeed in the Network Marketing industry you want to provide information, knowledge about yourself, knowledge about what you know, your philosophy and your assets. In Network Marketing people like to meet like minded people.

If a individual receives a friend request from you that brings them to a page where they see positiveness, someone who is looking to help other individuals and also share similar goals and interest, they will most likely add you.

Now you know the power of FREE advertising, who says that if you mix both FREE advertising and paid advertising together that you will not have a empire of targeted leads being driven through your website on a daily basis.

The Affiliate Marketing Mindset

You have heard all about affiliate marketing in the past - how affiliate marketers earned their first million, how they have purchased a better car, a new house, blah, blah, blah. And because they won you over their success stories, you tried the stuff yourself. But instead of earning millions of dollars, replacing your badly beaten car, and moving to an entirely new residence, you have lost thousands of dollars worth of investment, burned too many precious hours, and wasted worthwhile effort.

Why are some affiliate marketers successful and you are not? Are they just bluffing when they said they got rich being an affiliate marketer? Probably not, maybe yes. But then again, the possibility of earning money out of affiliate marketing is real. You can really earn so much out of it if only you know how to do it right.

However, there are affiliate marketers who are a master in search engine optimization. Others can build back links faster than a blink of an eye. There are also a few who have the flair to amass massive traffic in just a matter of hours. With these prized talents, why do these people still fail?

Well, they may have the right talents. But they lack one crucial thing when it comes to affiliate marketing - mindset. Having the right mindset is very important if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing. Mindset focuses you on the goal. It is what keeps you on track as you build your affiliate marketing empire. It is the very thing that could motivate you to earn your millions, get your new car, and move to your new house. More often than not, mindset is all you need to thrive.

To have the right mindset day in and day out, you have to constantly check your goals, both short term and long term, and see how you're fairing. Reward yourself for every small victory. Double your efforts if you fail on something. You should also start making everything around you a reminder of your goals. Your office, your computer, and your furniture - everything you see, use, and feel should motivate you to work harder, do better, and come out stronger in all the affiliate marketing efforts that you do.

Article Marketing - Write Your Way Into Search Results - Traffic And $$$

In my regular scouring of the internet marketing do's and don'ts, I come across an endless sea of opinions, many of them contradictory of other opinions by internet marketers and gurus. You may have seen something like what I'm referring to. Some internet marketers will tell you "Adsense is dead", while others assure you that "There's still life in Adsense and other Pay Per Click programs!" One of the topics that has come to my attention recently is regarding the use of articles to raise the search ranking of your website and do some honest to goodness SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

There are several aspects to SEO, of course. This article takes a look at articles and how their content can be used to your advantage to build your website popularity.

One opinion I've seen time and time again that has been trumpeted by scores of marketers, and that has never been contested, is "search engines love content." I'll go a step further and say, "Search engines love original content."

If you want to see what I'm referring to, do a search under "article sites" and see how many directories you pull up. Article directories are out there in droves, keeping a large supply of articles that can be (and usually are) used by people publishing ezines or adding content to their sites. I've submitted articles to several of these sites for free. Here's why submitting articles is a win-win situation:

Win for you: You get to include a "resource box" with your article, which can be a link back to your website (or the affiliate site you are promoting)

Win for them: ezine publishers need to come up with articles every day/week/month. Webmasters want their proverbial "regularly updated content." Article directories give them the ammo they need to keep their updates regular and their content fresh.

Of course, this does mean you will need to write. If you like to write already, great - get started! If writing is about as fun for you as pulling your teeth with rusty jumper cables, all is not lost. My suggestion is to look at sites like Elance (www.elance.com) and look for writers on the topic you want to cover. Elance has a bidding system, which allows you to post a project for bids and let prospective writers bid on it. Once you have your article written, you will need to submit it. There is an endless array of article sites on the web. You can also take a shortcut by trying an article submission tool.

Something else to remember - SEO will take awhile. Even if you have submitted articles, you must give them time to make their way into the hands of those people who will publish them on sites and on the web.

So there you have it - articles help you promote your web site the write way!

Article Marketing Tactics and Misuse of Trickery in Titles Discussed

So often article marketers who author online articles and post them to online article submission sites use misleading titles, which have nothing to do with what the article is about, but rather attempt to trick the reader into clicking on the link. You know many people feel it is okay to embellish "titles of articles" because the evening news does it every day.

"Late Breaking News - New startling information in the Natalie Holloway unsolved murder mystery"

Then the media baits you into watching 7 minutes of commercials and two more un-related news segments where they cut of the interviewees mid-sentence, then they tell you something you already know, do not care about or is simply irrelevant.

The print media is just as bad. So much "fluff" and leading embellishment that it has trained most in the society to act and write like that. Of course it has also trained people to become numb to the news and leery of purported trickery in article titling. Using such tricks and tactics often works, but a stupid person may not be your target market, so article marketers should be thinking here.

Additionally, if you trick your good potential clientele they will be somewhat upset, although some marketers use this to lure them further and further, as their desire grows to seek the real information, then they pitch them with an offer: "buy this information" click here to buy, with a low price of $19.99 and throw in free ginzu knives? These are all tactics of the get-rich-quick crowds.

Whereas most non-marketer article "writers" do not use this tactic, their book editors or publishers often do overdo the titles in order to sell their books, or at least push the socially acceptable limit too often. Publishers are always looking for a hook or an angle to sell their works. It seems everyone attempts to use titles to entice readership. Yet we are told never judge a book by its title, that goes for online articles too unfortunately.

Some article marketers realize that even an underwhelmed reader who does not like an article will "click a link out" perhaps a slight percentage of the time rather than hitting the back button on their browser. The Internet Marketer will often have an enticing byline to get them to do just that.

Writers of articles, who are not engaged in marketing, might be trying to convince someone of their opinion or trying to get them to do something else, thus in a way some of these writers are in fact marketing - no, not a consulting job, product or service, but rather an idea, opinion, trend or concept.

Some article marketers imitate other media and consider it business as usual think that it is okay when in actuality it is somewhat pathetic. Article marketers often mimic what they observe on the Internet, in print, on the radio or on TV or perhaps a combination. It would behoove online article authors to consider these facts as they promote their writing on the the Internet. Think on this.

Article Marketing

I've written tens of thousands of words for articles and many of my articles are on the Internet through article directories. Although I have only been doing article marketing for a short while, I have found it to assist me in building my list of subscribers.

People who search the internet for information are a targeted audience but are by no means a guarantee to building a list fast unless you write hundreds of articles in a short amount of time. You have to be satisfied to use the strategy of writing articles as a long term effective method of list building and creating credibility.

The downside is if you put too many articles on your website [not Internet through directories] too fast you could end up being blacklisted by the search engines as a suspected spammer. I haven't found this to be the case as yet, but you need be aware of it because see this as a risk.

The way articles work for building your business through directories is sound. When you write an article and submit it to directories you place links back to your website in a resource box [or bio as it is commonly referred to]. Website owners and e-zines writers use these articles as free content for their website or newsletter and their readers have access to your site through the resource box if they wish to read more about the subject you have written about.

This works because article directories require that the resource box is left in place when the article is published. You now have a one way link back to your site on your article in directories and also on other websites and in e-zines. Free advertising is good when it is highly targeted.

If you have a small budget this is an excellent way to go. Membership to article directories is usually free. All you have to do is be prepared to spend time to help yourself in the marketing game.

Is article marketing as good as they all seem to say? I don't believe so unless you have no other options available to you. Sure, you have to be involved in article marketing but it should only be used as one of many strategies to market. It is good to get inbound links to create leads and credibility. However, a word of warning. Don't rely on it to build your business fast without other strategies to support it.
